Creating a VFX Billboard Campaign Video for Kota’s Auto-Enrolment Roadshow

A Creative Way to Launch a First-of-Its-Kind Event

Last month we worked on a really exciting project with Kota to help promote their Auto-Enrolment Roadshow.

The event itself was designed to educate businesses about the upcoming changes to Ireland’s pension auto-enrolment system, bringing industry leaders together across a series of in-person events.

Because the roadshow was a first-of-its-kind initiative, the goal wasn’t just to promote the event — it was to tell the story behind it in a creative and engaging way.

That meant finding a visual approach that could capture attention quickly and communicate the scale of the campaign.

The Creative Concept: Turning Dublin Billboards into Digital Storytelling

During pre-production we ran into a common challenge in event marketing:

There was no existing footage to work with.

Instead of relying on standard graphics or static content, we decided to take a more ambitious approach.

We filmed billboards across Dublin and then integrated Kota’s campaign assets using visual effects (VFX).

This allowed us to create the illusion that the roadshow was already taking over the city, bringing the campaign to life in a visually striking way.

The final video blends real-world footage with digital billboard animations, creating a piece of content that feels both cinematic and rooted in the physical environment of Dublin.

Why VFX Can Be Powerful for Tech and Event Marketing

For technology companies launching campaigns or events, traditional promotional content can sometimes feel predictable.

By combining location footage with visual effects, brands can create marketing content that feels larger than life while still remaining grounded in the real world.

In this case, the billboard concept helped achieve several things:
